Q0113 - How can I keep and re-use my Chart formatting options?
How can I keep and re-use my Chart formatting options?

OrgPublisher charts consist of two files.

The data file - which can be one of several formats:  CSV, OCB, ODBX

The template file contains the formatting aspects of your Chart in a file with an OTM extension.

In addition to the formattting and layout, the OTM file contains the following:

  • Publishing definitions
  • Custom Field Labels/Fields
  • Groups
  • Styles

If you would like to use the formatting layout from one of your charts, just copy the OTM file, and rename the copied file to match your new chart file name.

Alternatively, if you would like all subsequent charts to use the formatting of the current chart, click on the File menu in the OrgPublisher application and click the Set template as default option.  When this option is set, when you  open any new data source, the formatting of the current chart will be applied.

In either case, please note that you may need to edit/correct your Custom Fields, Groups, Styles, and Publishing definitions in the new chart.
