Yes. you have the ability to add as many new Position Types as you need.  Position Types are kept or brought into your chart (from your Data Source) in Field #4 - Record Type.

Please note: 

New Custom Position Types best practice is to have <  > surrounding the data. For example, <President>  <CEO>  <Director>

OrgPublisher also provides a Position Type Wizard to help walk you thru creating new Position Types.  Items you can set for Position Types are as follows:

• Assigning a Position Type to a Group
• Type of Box the new Position Type should be displayed as
• Inclusion in Total Head Counts

New Position Types should not be manually created for Charts you have set with external Data Sources.
